In order to increase the facilities for treatment and management of COVID patients, Lucknow will house a 1,000-bed hospital dedicated entirely to the infected citizens. At a recent meeting with the District Commissioner, Chief Medical Officer, zonal officers and members of Team-11, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh stated that the hospital shall be established soon. He has prompted the concerned authorities to assure quick implementation of plans, in regards to setting up this facility.
OPD services suspended in all hospitals, teleconsultation available
The state authorities have asked all private and government centres to conduct COVID tests with full potential. While the norms and rates have already been established by the administration, district quality control teams must ensure adherence to the laid guidelines.
Given the inflating infection rates, OPD services have been suspended across all hospitals in Uttar Pradesh and only emergency wards are functional. For all medical services other than COVID, citizens have to use the teleconsultation route. Additionally, Chief Minister Aarogya Melas have been cancelled till May 15.
It has been ordered that the DM, CMO and Police Chief must conduct daily meetings at Integrated Command and Control Centre to decide the further course of action. Subsequently, the Chief Minister’s Office must also be apprised of all circumstances and associated measures.
CM asks to ensure ample supply of oxygen & Remdesivir injections
Through the Chief Minister Helpline 1076, the state authorities must ensure regular contact with all patients in hospitals and home isolations. Further, the CM has mandated to amp up cleanliness, sanitisation and fogging activities in all rural and urban areas of the state.
All hospitals have been asked to maintain an adequate supply of oxygen. In this regard, the 24*7 control room set up by the Food and Drug Administration Department, will assure that all oxygen requirements are sufficiently met. Keeping in view the uncertain circumstances, the department has also been asked to increase its stocks of the Remdesivir injections.
