Promising a big relief from an increasing traffic load near Amausi, the construction work of the flyover, connecting Shaheed Path and the Lucknow Airport, has resumed. The development authority, Setu Nigam, has started to lay the foundation for the girdle launch here and aims to finish its construction within 5 months. Once commissioned, the flyover will effectively assist in dissolving jams with smooth and regulated vehicular movements.

Being developed as the newest addition to Lucknow’s road infrastructure, the construction of this much-awaited flyover has finally gained momentum after being stalled for nearly 4 months. Reportedly, the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) negated the sanctioning of free land for the flyover, rooting its delay. The hampered civil construction also created a lot of problems for the people commuting from Mansarovar Nagar and Shaheed Path.
Chief Secretary Rajendra Tiwari, presided over a review meeting on July 12 and directed for rapid completion of the flyover. He also ordered the LDA to allot the land at no cost, for the construction of the new stretch.
Now, about 8 of the 13 landowners here have consented to the land acquisition, streamlining the project work, informed the Deputy Project Manager, Rohan Kumar. The Public Works Department has also approved the land registry and this will be completed within a week, read reports. The development agency is aiming to complete all constuction work by January 2022.
