There’s no denying that since the launch of Lucknow Metro, it has become something like the life line of the city. The Metro has heralded a new era of public transport here in the city and although it was facing a few issues, it still manages to see a respectable footfall. One major issue that commuters have been facing is the lack of last mile connectivity. To combat this, the UPSRTC has set up routes for 3 city buses which will act as feeder buses to get you to your final destination.
What stations are feeder buses available at?

As of now, the commuters will be able to board the buses at 3 stations- Munshipulia, Indira Nagar and Badshahnagar. This will benefit over 10,000 people living in the areas around the Metro stations. These stations are some of those which see the highest footfall and the feeder service will come as a great relief for everyday users of these metro routes.
The current trend is such that commuters, after de-boarding the metro, have to look for auto rickshaws or e-rickshaws which are slow, non air-conditioned and overall, not a good experience in the summer heat. With the help of the feeder buses, these woes will be issues of the past.
What route will they follow?

The UPSRTC has decided that each of the buses will have 13 stops along their designated routes. The authorities have earmarked some of the most crowded areas in the Gomti Nagar region of the city. Commuters often have to wait for a really long time before they find the right public transport. Passengers can then choose to be dropped off at any one of the aforementioned stations.
Apart from that, the feeder bus service is also quite cheap as compared to other means of transport. Currently, users of the metro have to spend an extra ₹40 to just get to their preferred metro station using autos and e-rickshaws. With the help of the feeder bus services, more people can make use of the metro routes.
