Cementing its place at no.1 on the COVID-19 tally list in Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow has reported about 612 fresh coronavirus cases in last 24 hours. This single day spike has been identified as the highest in the city since the outbreak of the infection. With 4 deaths on Tuesday, a total of 124 fatalities have been reported so far in Lucknow.
August brings trouble

Lucknow has reported over 1500 cases in the last 4 days and the individual day numbers have witnessed a constant increase, that is, a constant upward trend in the rate of transmission is being observed. With Unlock 3 in effect, about 25 new people are tested positive for the coronavirus every hour. August’s increasing numbers breached the 600 mark of new cases on Tuesday, which is the highest in the city’s infection history.
A total of 315 recoveries were reported yesterday, however, the increased caseload has resulted in a high tally of active cases-4638, highest in the state. About 5043 recoveries and 124 fatalities have been reported in Lucknow so far.
