A group of independent filmmakers from Lucknow are knocking at your door to seek help for their first big-budget venture titled ‘Gateman’ and this is how you can be a part of this story which hits home, too closely. The newest project of Madhushala Films stands at the threshold of its completion and you can help to translate it from the script to the screen, by contributing for the same. And as the director of ‘Gateman’, Siddharth Srivastava puts it, “Thoda hai, thode ki zarurat hai‘”.
Gateman: An ordinary yet iconic superhero!
Through the lens of Madhushala Films, this is the story of an ordinary railway guard who will be compelled by the circumstances to take a heroic step- that one-life altering decision which will right all the wrongs and shoulder his liabilities. This cinematic piece is going to be a testament to the fact that though we all are ordinary, we need just a little extra to be extraordinary!
And this extra is exactly what filmmakers associated with Madhushala Films are looking for. Through a crowdfunding video, Madhushala has invited each and all to be a part of ‘Gateman’ where they can help raise funds for the venture. The movie has been set at a budget of ₹7 lakhs, 35% of which has already been assimilated. With the help of the remainder, Gateman will be able to afford better production, camera equipment, locations and actors.
The director and brains behind this project, Siddharth, has stated that the doors of Madhushala are always open for those who want to reach out to help or connect with the story before making any commitments. He has previously worked for big-banner projects such as ‘A Suitable Boy‘ and with his personal team at Madhushala, also created some soul-stirring works including ‘Waqfa’ and ‘Rozi-Roti’.
