Lucknow’s introduction is incomplete without talking about Hazratganj and all of us here can relate to Sheldon Cooper whenever he says “that’s my spot” because Ganj is OUR spot!
Ganj is at the heart of Lucknow and it is also nestled closely in the hearts of Lucknowiites as well.
Our spot, Hazratganj, is set to get a makeover and regain its former glory after the metro works have wreaked havoc at every corner of this old-world beauty!

We’re already excited about Lucknow metro starting operations in the area, which is just a few months away and now the news of Ganj going under a makeover, has added to our excitement.
Two years ago, LMRC had begun the underground metro work and it had us questioning whether we’d witness our Victorian Ganj the same way before it was bathed in dust, potholes and pebbles!

Work has already begun in full-swing to reinstall fountains, to smoothen roads and to line red bricks for footpaths so that we can greet back the charm it had momentarily lost!
The restoration is set to be complete by the 30th of January and we cannot wait to actually visit our favourite hangout spot!

While you’re here at Ganj, don’t forget to try out the famous Basket Chaat from Royal Cafe, Sharma’s chai, Marksmen’s Dosa & Chowmein and of course, Chhedilal’s fresh fruit juice!
