The Dudhsagar Falls trek in Goa was shut due to the pandemic and now, the authorities have once again made it accessible for the public as travel restrictions have been relaxed to a large extent. This waterfall can only be reached by walking on the railway tracks and several trekking groups have already purchased trekking packages for September-end.
Jeep Safaris to be available soon
Jungle treks to Tamdi Surla waterfalls till the first week of October, will be open to all and to make things easier, jeep safaris will be operational once again from the 2nd of October. According to reports, some of the tour operators in Goa, are also offering pick up and drop services for tourists coming in from Bengaluru and Hyderabad, in order to save up on taxes. The concerned authorities have been advising the trekkers to dress appropriately so that they can be immune to insects and reptiles dwelling here. Also, it is recommended to complete the hike at Kulem, before sunset.
30,552 Confirmed COVID-19 cases in Goa
As of now, Goa has reported 30,552 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 24,347 recoveries have been documented so far. The state has also witnessed 383 fatalities till date and 5,822 cases are active currently. So if you’re planning on taking up this trek, do remember to use all the precautionary measures and at the slightest sign of any symptom, do refrain from travelling.
