In a move to boost tourism activities in Goa, the state government might soon start international charter flights at the Dabolim International Airport. Making an announcement in this regard, the Chief Minister of Goa stated that domestic and foreign tourists will be keen on visiting the territory once the entire eligible population is fully inoculated. As per the current plans, it is expected that all Goan citizens will be fully vaccinated by October 31.

As per reports, the state officials had asked for permission from the Union Home Ministry to revive international charter flights in the territory. It is expected that the approval will be received within a few days now. Notably, international charter flights contribute significantly to foreign tourism in Goa. Thereby, this benefits the travel and tourism industry of the state, driving economic growth in the coastal state.
Reportedly, extensive plans are being executed in Goa to ensure 100% vaccination coverage by October 31. In line with this, the CM has requested all the citizens to get their second dose of the vaccine as soon as possible. Further, he informed that the state has already achieved a 102% coverage of the first vaccine dose, reportedly.
