In the global report of Positive Impact Rating (PIR) 2021, the Goa Institute of Management (GIM) has been ranked as a “pioneering” B-school, alongside 3 other such institutions. This review was put forward at the virtual forum of United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education (UN-PRME) held in New York, an official statement mentioned on Friday. An overall count of 46 business schools from 21 countries, had participated in this rating module in 2021.

The aim behind the UN’s PRME forum initiative is to attain sustainable development goals, through the implementation of the principles for responsible management education, the statement added.
The Director of GIM, Ajit Parulekar, was quoted saying, “We at GIM are honoured and delighted to be named among the top four B-schools globally in leading pioneering change in the prestigious Positive Impact Rating (PIR) Report 2021, which is looked up to by the management institutes globally.”
Parulekar further stated, “PIR is the voice of the students around the globe and what is most satisfying for us is that our main stakeholders — our students — have acknowledged the institute’s commitment towards sustainability, and encouraged us to design and execute more such initiatives for positive long-term impact.”
Recipient of the 2021 Flourish Prize, leaving 585 entries behind
Just a few days prior, GIM won the prestigious 2021 Flourish Prize from a total of 585 entries and it was also the only institute from India to be shortlisted. Reportedly, this premier management institution won the title, owing to its submission of the story on Jaipur Rugs, focused on the Global Goal #8- Decent Work and Economic Growth. This objective is a part of the ’17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.’
Goa Institute of Management is the state’s pride and is ranked as a preferred choice among many B-school aspirants in the country. It has been consistently considered amid the top-15 private B-schools by leading publications like The Week, India Today, and Dalal Street.
