A magical theatrical experience
Inspired from the 12th-century Persian poem ‘Conference of the Birds’ or ‘Speech of the Birds’ by the pen of the celebrated Sufi poet Farid ud-Din Attar, this play will relive and rediscover the journey of the birds, and along with it, the journey of human psyche. It has also been partly adapted from Peter Brook’s popular theatrical version of the same.
“A flock of confused birds set out on a journey of self-discovery over difficult and challenging terrains, encountering strange beings who take them to different realities,” the description reads.

The director of the play, Yadavan Chandran, has famously directed many well-appreciated musicals, short films, and theatrical delights. He is also the artistic director of Darpana Academy of Performing Arts.
