The cityscape of Lucknow is changing as we speak. The construction of new roads, flyovers and advancement of the metro are not the only things that are new in the city. The transport department in Lucknow has been initiating several changes in the city as well, especially with the ragtag public transport. The introduction of electric and pink buses and remodelling the old unkempt bus stops and shelters is also one of the few things the city has seen.
Under the same initiative a new bus shelter is coming at the Samta Mulak Chowk near Fun Republic Mall. The Samta Mulak Chowk in the city is a hotspot for traffic and movement, which is why this proper bus shelteris really required.

The new bus shelters are in line with the smart city initiative and the Clean India Campaign. These bus shelters may be used for the newer and the more technologically sophisticated buses.
Why the need?
With a properly designated rest spot for the buses, the buses will no longer have to be parked along the roads. Which will also counter the haphazard parking issue in area. These shelters will also make it more comfortable for people to wait in the sun with a roof above their heads. Not just that, with a proper bus route and shelter established, buses will no longer stop at any point and be the reason for traffic jams.
With a shelter and a designated spot for buses people will also find it easier to catch a bus from Gomti Nagar as the Samta Mulak Chowk is connected with most prominent routes of the city, namely Hazratganj, Nishatganj, Gomti Nagar, towards Polytechnic Chowraha and towards National PG College.
With the shelter nearby, commuters will find it easy to travel to their desired location.
