Adding yet another feather to its shining cap of glory, UPMRC has recently entered the Limca Book of Records for constructing the fastest underground metro station. Lucknow Metro’s, CCS Airport station has been recognised as the fastest-built metro station by the Limca Book of Records. As per the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation, the CCS station was established in the period of 19 months and 10 days.

Notably, the maiden corridor of Lucknow Metro consists of four underground stations and the CCS Airport station is one of them. It stands connected with the domestic and international terminals of the Lucknow Airport, ensuring benefits for a large count of commuters.
Lucknow Metro, the fastest commissioned facility in the nation
Completing the interventions along the entire stretch of its maiden corridor in a record time of 4.5 years, Lucknow Metro became the fastest commissioned facility in the country. With the start of operations on March 8, 2019, Lucknow Metro has successfully revamped the local transport network in the city. Ushering ease of intra-city travel for the locals, this local transit system has witnessed a ridership of over 3.25 crore individuals till now.
