Prioritising development for the city, Indore Municipal Corporation has actively initiated collaborative projects with top-notch institutes. As per the latest reports, the municipality has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with IIT-Indore to accelerate the path of all-round development for the city. With this association, IMC aims to upgrade its capacities and deploy better use of technology through enhanced research aided by the institute.
With an objective to elevate Indore’s air quality
One of the prime objectives of this partnership is to elevate the dampening levels of air quality in Indore. Providing a platform for new ideas, the two organisations shall attempt to improve the air quality index by better use of technology. It is noteworthy that IMC and IIT Indore shall unitedly work for assuring a better tomorrow for residents across the city, acting on the principles of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat’ and ‘Swachcha Bharat Abhiyaan’.
IIT to assist growth in neighbouring villages
As per reports, the convener of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat’ campaign at IIT Indore mentioned that the officials from the institute shall work with IMC authorities for executing social projects. The initiatives shall be focused on bettering the future prospects of the city and the neighbourhood villages through schemes aimed at accentuating growth and development. In addition to this, they will also attempt to boost traffic growth in the city.
The latest alliance shall not only be conducive to refining the technology but also open gates to new possibilities of expansion. Facilitating multidimensional development, IMC and IIT Indore will together take the city towards an overall facelift. With the competition of the ‘Swachha Survekshan Award’ slated to start soon, this collaboration shall be beneficial on that end too.
