The largest domestic inoculation hurl is all set to kickstart tomorrow throughout India and ahead of it, Uttar Pradesh is making ample of arrangements for a glitch-free commencement and conclusion of the entire procedure. On Saturday, the COVID-19 immunization process will start off at 311 centres across 75 districts and the state as of now, has received about 10.75 lakh doses of the vaccine and has made all the necessary arrangements for the same.
Cold chain arrangements have been set in place
The doses of vaccine have been sent out to all the districts of the state and as per issued directives, all prescribed protocols will be followed while administering the vaccine. Further, in an effort to prepare for a seamless immunisation drive, the state government had conducted three mock drills earlier and cold chain arrangements have been set in place.
According to the drive layout, each vaccination centre will have 3 rooms, which will carry out the immunisation process. The beneficiaries will enter through the first room, where their ID and other personal details will be authenticated. After clearing this, the recipients will be sent to the second room, where the vaccine will be administered. The last room has been set up as a waiting area, where all the vaccine recipients will be spending approximately 30 minutes post the immunization.
UP has also appointed nodal officers for each vaccination centre who will look after the arrangements underway there. Officials have also stated that the entire inoculation process will be monitored through live feeds stationed at all centres. The Integrated Covid Contol and Command Centre will surveil all vaccination points with the help of CCTV cameras. Additionally, the state government has appealed to people to remain alert and continue to take precautions against the contagious coronavirus, which is still looming.
