In a first, 25 students aged 8 to 10 from Shardul Anveshika Gurukul, along with 10 teachers, embarked on an 8-day cycling trip from Ahmedabad to Ambaji. Covering 180 km and visiting 61 villages, the students had the opportunity to interact with locals, learning about their agricultural practices, culture, and history.

AMC to create unique garden featuring sculptures made from waste
The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has announced plans to develop a garden featuring miniature replicas of global architectural landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal, Statue of Unity, and more. These sculptures will be crafted from waste materials and will be located across a 30-acre site near Kopren Lake in the Ognaj area.

Ganesh Visarjan: 49 artificial ponds set up for over 1 lakh idol immersions
For Ganesh Visarjan on Tuesday, the AMC has set up 49 artificial tanks across 44 locations to facilitate the immersion of over 1 lakh Ganpati idols, including 627 large ones.
To maintain order and ensure safety, one Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) and four police officers will be deployed at each tank. Additionally, around 3,000 personnel from the Traffic Police Brigade and Home Guard will be stationed across the city to manage traffic during the immersion process.
Police officers to address public grievances twice a week
In a new initiative by the Minister of State for Home, police officers across the state will now address public grievances on Mondays and Tuesdays each week. Officers in charge of police stations will be available in their offices on these days to directly interact with the public.
This directive aims to make it easier for citizens to resolve their issues locally, without the need to travel to higher authorities. Senior police officials have been instructed to ensure strict implementation of this policy.
