Kanpur locals will soon be able to enjoy the luxury of a golf course at the Botanical Garden. As per reports, the Kanpur Development Authority (KDA) has decided to develop a state-of-the-art nine-hole-golf course here by the end of this year.
As of now the city has only one other golf course, which is under the possession of the Military and away from the reach of the common man. The project in making, however, will be open to all and also host international-level matches by December 2022.
The golf- course will further be fitted with several public amenities as well. Reportedly KDA Vice-Chairman has inspected the site recently and issued directives for the same. Officials have been asked to plant trees in open spaces, and create food courts and parking lots to make the golf course as a beautiful green space, as per the guidelines of the High Court.
